We're excited to announce that the 2025 Extra Play Head Coach application window is now open! If you're interested in coaching for the upcoming season, please submit your application by Monday, October 21, 2024.

The Extra Play Program (EPP) provides a more competitive experience to AYSO, where Both coaches and players undergo tryouts each season. The program is designed for those who seek a higher level of competition and commitment. EPP offers an environment that rivals club soccer, with a strong focus on advanced skills development and tactical growth. We're proud that EPP stands as one of the top pathways for competitive soccer, while remaining rooted in AYSO's core values of sportsmanship and player development.

Unlike AYSO's REC/Core side, EPP teams are single-year divisions (U9, U10, U11, etc.) for both boys and girls. For 2025, we plan to field teams in the 9U-14U age groups (birth years 2012-2017), and there will be some travel involved as teams compete with across regions.
Player tryouts 18-22, , after which, a selection committee (comprised of the selected head coach and others on the regional board) will build out the rosters.

For those unfamiliar with the Extra Program, or have questions, we will be hosting an Informational Zoom meeting for prospective coaches this Friday, October 11 at 6pm. It shouldn't last more than 30 minutes. Here is the Zoom information.
